Distributed DC Power Supply
FBWGD supplies local secondary control and compatible operating mechanisms in ring-main units, compact substations and outdoor switching equipment. Select the unit by continuous demand and the duration of each operating pulse.

Local DC Supply at the Switching Equipment
The compact unit combines AC/PT supply and battery backup for secondary control. It can serve protection and intelligent terminals, and operating mechanisms that fit its power and duty limits.
Check the available mounting space, terminal access and operating environment with the switchgear layout. Enclosure dimensions and installation details are confirmed for the selected unit.
Match Power to Its Duration
| Duty | Listed power options | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Continuous output | 100 / 200 / 300 W | Select for sustained control and indication loads. |
| Short-duration battery output | 200 / 400 / 600 W | 20 seconds; select for the operating duty. |
| Maximum pulse output | Up to 1,500 W | 200 milliseconds, supplied by the battery. |
These values describe different duties. The 1,500 W pulse rating is not a continuous rating. Confirm the required pulse, repetition rate and battery state for the actual mechanism.
AC / PT Input & DC Options
| Item | Selection information |
|---|---|
| AC input | 176–265 VAC |
| PT input | 85–130 VAC; source capacity must be confirmed for the selected unit and duty. |
| Frequency | 50 Hz ±10% |
| DC outputs listed | 220 / 110 / 48 / 24 VDC; specify the required output when enquiring. |
Confirm the present unit version for the selected voltage. Do not substitute a PT source solely on the basis of voltage: its available power and protective coordination also matter.
Battery, Supervision & Protection
The unit uses automatic battery charge/discharge management and supports supervision and alarms. Battery capacity and required autonomy are selected around the control load and operating sequence.
Confirm the supplied protective functions, alarm contacts or communication connection, mounting arrangement and wiring diagram for the unit. No enclosure protection rating or remote protocol is assumed from another DC product.
Selection Questions
Can FBWGD supply a switching motor continuously at 1,500 W?
No. The listed maximum 1,500 W is a 200 ms battery pulse. Continuous output options are 100, 200 and 300 W.
How should a PT source be specified?
Provide its voltage, available VA rating and the other connected loads. The required PT capacity is checked against the selected unit and operation sequence.
