EPS Emergency Power
Emergency power for motor, lighting and mixed loads. Choose the EPS family around the load category, starting method and required emergency operating duration.

Select by Emergency Load
Motor-load EPS
For emergency operation of fans, water pumps and other motors. The described arrangement uses variable-frequency reduced-voltage starting and supports a fire-control linkage interface. Duty/standby arrangements depend on configuration.
Single- & Three-phase Mixed-load EPS
For lighting and mixed emergency loads. The family uses IPM/CPU control, SPWM and an LCD interface. Specify each load type and its starting or inrush demand.
KE Series
An emergency second or third supply arrangement with charging, individual battery inspection, LCD/DSP control and EMI/surge protection. Enclosure and battery-cabinet arrangements depend on model.
Capacity Terminology Matters
| Family | Capacity information | Selection boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Motor-load EPS | Listed selections from 2.2 to 315 kVA | Discrete sizes; motor starting duty must be checked. |
| Mixed-load · single-phase | Listed selections from 0.5 to 30 kVA | Select for the actual lighting / mixed load. |
| Mixed-load · three-phase | Listed selections from 2.2 to 315 kVA | Discrete sizes, not an unrestricted continuous range. |
| KE series | Request a model-specific rating schedule | Confirm rated kW and kVA separately before sizing. |
kW expresses active power; kVA expresses apparent power. They are not interchangeable. State both where known, along with power factor and motor starting demand. Final selection must use the agreed rating for the exact EPS model.
Backup Arrangement & Project Integration
Battery capacity and the required emergency duration are selected for the actual load sequence. Do not assume a standard backup time or infer that a model without a separate battery-cabinet entry has no battery.
For fire-related loads, provide the control-interface requirements and the applicable project requirements. A listed application or linkage interface is not evidence of approval for every country or fire system.
- Identify loads that run together and their starting sequence.
- Specify automatic changeover and control-interface requirements.
- Confirm batteries, charging, cabinet space and supply scope.
Selection Questions
Can motor kW be used directly as the EPS kVA size?
No. Confirm rated active/apparent power, power factor, starting demand and the intended operating sequence before selecting a capacity.
Is a fixed emergency duration included?
No universal duration is stated here. Provide the required operating time so the battery and charging arrangement can be configured.
Does the EPS page certify compliance for a fire project?
No. The model documentation and project-specific compliance requirements need separate review.
